Nairobi Excursions


  • HALF DAY CITY TOUR – NAIROBI (3 hours)  

    he tour covers the modern city center, the colorful market, Parliament, the Railway Museum and the renowned National Museum where there are spellbinding displays of early man, tribal regalia and the flora and fauna of Kenya. A visit to the adjacent snake park is also included. The tour returns to the city center by lunchtime.

     

  • NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK TOUR (4 hours)  

    his unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometers from Nairobi’s bustling city center but despite its proximity over 50 species of mammals can be found there, including four of the Big Five. The tour also includes a visit to the animal orphanage at the park gate. The tour returns to the city center by sundown.

     

  • BOMAS OF KENYA EXPEDITION (3 hours)  

    Just a few kilometers from the city, numerous “bomas” or homesteads reflecting Kenya’s cocktail of cultures have been faithfully re-created for visitors to see traditional village life. The greatest excitement during the afternoon visit is the display of the traditional dancing, music and songs performed in a splendid arena.

  • CARNIVORE/BOMAS OF KENYA/NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK (1 Day) 

    he National Park, only 8 kms from the city center, is Nairobi’s pride, for no other bustling capital can boast a paradise of wildlife almost on its doorstep. The morning is spent tracking some of the many species found in the Park, which include rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard and cheetah. After lunch at Carnivore Restaurant continue to Bomas of Kenya for a fiesta of traditional music and dance. The tour ends in Nairobi in the early evening.

     

  • KAREN BLIXEN MUSEUM/GIRAFFE MANOR/OSTRICH PARK ( 3 Hours) 

    his half-day afternoon tour visits the Karen Blixen Museum at the foot of the Ngong Hills, the farm and home of Isak Dinesen of “Out of Africa” fame. This is a pilgrimage to the memory of a woman admired universally, both for her spirit and her writings. This is followed by a visit to Giraffe Manor, the wildlife conservation center and home of Daisy, the world famous Rothschild giraffe who starred in the film “The Last Giraffe”. Finally your tour will take you to the Ostrich Park and Arts and Craft Village, where you will see the world’s largest bird being farmed and discover that the myth of the scared ostrich is just that – a myth! Return to your hotel as the sun goes down.
